Carry lit torches as entertainment
Inside a circle
Posing as the new square

Manikin  puppetry
A closed miniature of the world
The clowns,
will always outlive the animals
Blind to the suffering
As we stand amazed
By those balancing on a thin line
Between life and death

The maestro commands
We applaud
We pay
And lend our attention
Towards the mimed mimicry
Forgetting how to mimic ourselves
Completely

We are the circus of circumstance
