her angels skin was so thick
nothing could penetrate her heart
so she made the same mistakes herself
and the circle of perception
was left in the hands of fate
Yes, and in the UK we’ve learnt that a well-known politician of the seventies and eighties was abusing small boys on a regular basis – but from what I’ve heard his own childhood was deeply painful and unstabilising. And Hitler’s father has a lot to answer for. So the cycle goes on, except for the grace of God.
